What began as an internal initiative to promote a culture of inclusion, dignity, and respect at UPMC, today has become an initiative that helps organizations across multiple industries build a culture of inclusion, engage diverse employees, and enhance community reputation. Some ask if Diversity was 1.0 and Inclusion 2.0, is Dignity & Respect 3.0? Our response, Dignity & Respect is 0.0; it precedes and enables diversity and inclusion. The Dignity & Respect Campaign can complement or re-ignite an existing inclusion effort or help you get started.
